Clothing

This skirt is made from a Japanese print quilters cotton, with the base color being black, and then there is writing, leaves, and designs all over the skirt in shades of purple, green, and orange.  I really love this fabric!!!
I added a pocket to the skirt, it is a purple pocket with green trim, and I have appliqued the Japanese word for “strength” or “power” onto the pocket in black cotton.
The inspiration for the applique came from my girlfriends.   Many of them are currently pregnant (even with twins!)…and it made me think of how strong women are both physically and mentally….and how much we endure for family, love, and togetherness.  This was definately made for some beautiful strong woman!
There is a drawstring waist, which ties in the back.  It is made from braided yarn.
